Admissions
Step 1. All students eligible to attend public school within the Primary Geographic Boundary (McKinney ISD, Frisco ISD, Allen ISD, Melissa ISD, Celina ISD, Prosper ISD, Princeton ISD, Lovejoy ISD) may apply between November 1 and March 1 each year. Application forms are available online. Kindergarten entrants must be five years old by September 1 to be admitted. Step 2. If applications exceed spaces for a grade, all applicants for that grade are entered into a random lottery to determine admission. The lottery to determine waiting lists takes place within fifteen days after the admissions application period has ended. Names drawn determine admission for that grade or the waiting list order. Step 3. After the lottery, offers are extended for open spaces and families are contacted in the order of the names drawn. If a space becomes available, the next candidate on the waiting list is contacted. Offers are issued promptly as openings arise. Step 4. As openings appear, offers are extended via email to the next candidates on the waiting list. The Admissions Office staff work diligently to extend offers for the upcoming school year.

Scholarships
Financial assistance is provided for meals, uniforms, field trips, after-school care, and other student-related activities for students who qualify based on family income. Eligibility is based on annual Texas Department of Agriculture Income Eligibility Guidelines. A new financial assistance application is required each school year, and one form per household.
