Introduction

PaRK International School’s Praça de Espanha campus opened in 2017 and serves children from age 1 to Grade 4 in central Lisbon. The campus offers a bilingual English-Portuguese programme. Early Learning students follow a project and play-based curriculum inspired by Reggio Emilia, while Junior School students follow a blend of the Portuguese curriculum and Cambridge International curriculum. The campus is housed in a historic townhouse at Av. Columbano Bordalo Pinheiro, 52, and includes a sustainable playground with a tree house, climbing wall and mud kitchen, an Atelier for creative investigation, classrooms with technology tools, and a multi-purpose gym. A distinctive feature of this campus is the Atelier, where children explore materials, projections, light, shadow, music and clay. After-school options include PaRK Music Academy, visual arts, dance, martial arts, sports, creative writing, chess and technology.
