Admissions

Admissions

Admission PP: The admissions process is designed to get to know each child and family on a personal level. For Pre-Primary learners (Half Day, KG1, KG2), the school aims to understand each child's personality, learning style, and developmental needs while helping families learn about the school philosophy and community. The process for Academic Year 2026–2027 unfolds in five steps. Step 1 – September 2025 – School Tours: Parents attend a tour to experience the community, observe classrooms, explore specialist spaces, and meet faculty and leadership. If located outside India, a virtual introduction via Zoom can be arranged. Tour dates are released on the 26th of each month at 10:00 AM IST for the following month, and registration is via the Inquiry Form; tours are by reservation, space is limited, and on a first-come, first-served basis. Tours run about 90 minutes and include a Q&A; late arrivals require rescheduling. Step 2 – September to November – Application & Document Submission: After attending a tour, families receive the online Admissions Application and all necessary supporting documents. Once the application and documents are received, families are invited for a Parent/Guardian Interview. Step 3 – September to November – Parent Interview: A one-on-one interview with the faculty or leadership team, lasting about 40–60 minutes. The interview is an opportunity to share more about the child, their interests, and learning journey, and to ask questions about Ascend's philosophy, curriculum, or community. Step 4 – December – Student Visit Day: For Pre-Primary applicants, a Student Visit Day is held (date: December 6, 2025). Eligibility requires submission of all documents and completion of the parent interview. The visit is a group session of about 90 minutes with playful learning experiences, movement/dance, and a storybook read-aloud. Attendance is essential, and both parents are not required to attend. This is the only Student Visit Day for the year. Step 5 – December – Admission Decisions: Following the Student Visit Day, admission decisions for the Pre-Primary Program (Half Day, KG1, KG2) for Academic Year 2026–2027 are released by mid-December 2025. Age criteria are observed to ensure readiness for Ascend's program: Half Day Program requires a minimum age of 3.6 years by August 1, 2026; KG1 requires 4.6 years; KG2 requires 5.6 years.
